His geometric and minimalist style is a reference to his experience in graphic design and lithographic printing. Repetition and form that creates an introspective visual language. His work has been featured at institutions such as: The Museum of the Americas in Puerto Rico, the Mexican Fine Arts Institute of Chicago, the Hudson River Museum of New York, the Tamayo Museum and the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Mexico City.
Biography
He was born in Mexico City in 1954. He studied painting at the La Esmeralda National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving of the National Institute of Fine Arts (1975-1979). He was a graphic design fellow in Urbino, Italy (1976-1977). He obtained a grant for the production of lithography at the La Esmeralda National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving (1980-81). Since 1982, he has been working as a drawing teacher at the National School of Plastic Arts, Xochimilco, National Autonomous University of Mexico. He has participated in more than 100 collective exhibitions and individual exhibitions in Mexico City and abroad.
