One of the pioneers of photojournalism in Mexico, he collaborated with magazines such as Arte y letras, El mundo ilustrado and Cosmos. Ramos was a chronicler of the Porfirio Díaz regime, he inventoried the collection of the then National Archaeology, History and Ethnology Museum, and inspected monuments from the viceroyalty. A highlight of his work are pictures intervened with pigments and those printed by Voja Mitrovic, who also materialized the work of photographers such as Robert Doisneau and Juan Rulfo.
